Celebrate the beginning of summer by participating in Colorado's Free Fishing Weekend. The event takes place the first weekend in June each year and allows anglers of all ages the opportunity to get out and explore the world of fishing — for free! Fishing derbies are a great way to try your hand at fishing while meeting others and having a fun time. This year the cities of Greeley and Loveland are hosting fishing derbies for all ages to attend and to sweeten the deal, the cities have stocked the lake and pond prior to the derbies with different types and sizes of fish.
