Playing at the largest school classification for the first time in six years, the Greeley West girls tennis team qualified two doubles teams for the state tournament following regional tournaments this week. One of those duos, the No. 1 team of Davanee McKinney and Itzel Guidry, earned their spot at the Class 5A tournament after rallying from a 5-2 deficit in the third and final set of playback matches. McKinney and Guidry, both juniors, defeated a team from Pine Creek, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, in the playback or challenge match after losing in the finals to Rock Canyon from Littleton.
