Colorado Rep. Yadira Caraveo in January will be sworn in as the U.S. House representative for Colorado's new 8th Congressional District, created by the independent redistricting commission in 2021. November marked the first election for the new district, which includes the Greeley area and stretches south to Commerce City in Adams County, as well as eastern parts of Larimer County. Caraveo, an Adams County Democrat who's served in the Colorado House of Representatives since 2018, ran against Colorado Sen.
