The approximately 1.2 million Americans who gave their lives while serving in the armed forces were remembered and honored Monday morning annual ceremony at Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley. Deborah Baker, program director of the nonprofit Community Grief Center in Greeley and a retired U.S. Air Force colonel, gave the keynote address on a bright and sunny morning. The Community Grief Center is a nonprofit organization helping people through the death of a loved one, according to its website. The ceremony, though, was moving and somber and included the Greeley Police Department Honor Guard, the Centennial State National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, an invocation and benediction by Ray Delgado, chaplain of the Union Colony Marine Detachment 1093 — the detachment also provided a 21-gun salute —  songs from singer Chad W.
